I have been in love with the Cynster novels for years, and have a large collection of the books. I was ever so pleased to discover  there is now an offshoot of this series based on an even younger generation of Cynsters, and sisters as well.

Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue by Stephanie Laurens

The first novel in this trilogy actually came out in the summer, but I’d not even heard of it until just before Christmas. I am lucky that the library has it, but I’m on a rather long list of all those who also want to read it!

If you have read what books I have In My Mailbox this week, then you will know I have only two of three books in the Donovan Legacy trilogy. Is it any wonder that I am now waiting on book number three?

Charmed by Nora Roberts

Each of these three books focus on one Donovan cousin, all with some magical power. The first deals with the witch, the second with the seer, and the third with the healer. I rather liked the previous two, so I am dying to get my hands on this one as well!

A little while back I saw a ‘making of the cover’ for this novel, and was totally stunned by the beauty of the artwork. For some reason I thought it was a video about building the cover, but all I could find was a blog post by the author Kiera Cass. Don’t you love it?

I obviously had to find out more about the novel with the gorgeous cover and discovered The Selection will be out in April of this year from HarperTeen. I can hardly wait!

For any of you bloggers out there that don’t already know, a certain awesome someone’s debut novel will be hitting the bookstore shelves later this month!

Half-Blood by Jennifer L Armentrout

If you weren’t one of the lucky few who have already acquired an ARC of JLA’s novel, you can whet your appetite with the prequel Daimon (review to come) that is already available via ebook.

Sorry you had to wait a bit longer today for Wednesday’s WoW meme! I am waiting for a book, quite literally, as it is something I asked for from the library. It is the first book in a series, and I am also on the reserved list for the second book.

Princess  for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt
The Royal Treatment by LIndsay Leavitt

Now, I have not read anything by this author before, so I cannot say how good the books might be…. but I couldn’t resist  it! Any girl who ever wanted to be a princess wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to read about a female who was approached by a fairy godmother asking if she wanted to be a substitute princess. It’s like a dream come true! *L0L*

Waiting on Wednesday (sept-1)

For anyone in the Toronto area you’ll know about the Word On The Street festival that takes place every September. My publishing program was asked to volunteer for the event last year, and I’m volunteering again this year.

It was actually at this festival that I heard Kelley Armstrong read from her book The Gathering, which has since become available. It was there that she told us it was the beginning of a new trilogy called Darkness Rising and would be based on another genetic-altering experiment.

The Calling by Kelley Armstrong

This year Kelley Armstrong will be reading at Word on the Street again, and I have to wonder: will she be give us a teaser from the next book in this series? Because that is the book I’m sure waiting for!
