Book Review: Falling Down by Anne Mercier

Synopsis: Jesse Kingston is a tall, dark, and gorgeous temptation I find hard to resist. I was twelve when I started crushing on him, and seventeen when I met him by chance. Now here I am, twenty-three, and I’m one of the two actresses in the video for his band’s latest single. It ends up not being as simple as doing a job and going home… There is no avoiding him and, after spending so much time with him, I’m not sure I want to. When he proposes a weekend together I throw caution to the wind and I say yes. The only question is: Will one weekend be enough? Will our time together end up changing this bad boy or will it end up changing me?

Author: Writing adult and new adult contemporary romance, Anne Mercier is an international bestselling author. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she still lives there to this day. Her adult novels are under the pseudonym of Annie Mercier, and suspense/dark romances can be found with the pen name of A.L. Mercier.

Cover: While the cover of my copy looked a bit different, when searching for one big enough to post I was shocked to discover the one I have here… because it looks like a cropped photo of a Jennifer L Armentrout book! While I understand in theory that photographers and models make more money by selling to multiple buyers, I really hate having two completely different stories with the exact same cover art.

Verdict: Falling down is a Rockstar Romance that is not particularly believable, but still enjoyable. I would read more of this series if it was available at the library (or free on kobo!), but I did not love it enough to want to go out and buy all the books.
