I recently discovered a new author, or rather an author that was new to me. I was at the library earlier this month looking for absolutely anything in a contemporary setting in which to read -having finally left the regency phase for a time- and picked up a novel from a series. I wasn’t expecting to like it all that much and thus didn’t bother looking for the first book, but chose one sort of middling to end. I ended up enjoying that story enough that I got another and another and another. So now, I have borrowed nearly the entire collection from the library!
Virgin River Series by Robin Carr
Each book focuses on one couple that meet and fall in love in the small town of Virgin River, and will have a few introductory scenes about a main characters from the next book to build up for their own story. The stories just carry you from one plot to the next, always leaving you wanting to know what will happen to these people. All the “regulars” show up in the following books so you keep up with their lives as well.
